Coming 'round the mountain!

Round 3 wasn't much worse than round 2, thank goodness! I did have a bit of an issue with my vein after I received the infusion on Thursday. Most of the pain is gone and now there is only bruising. The oncology nurse said the vein is irritated. I hope for the next round the nurse can use another spot on my arm or hand. Cross your fingers.

On Friday I had my Neulasta shot and by Friday evening it was "game on". The shot sure makes you ache inside the bones, but Tylenol seems to take the edge off the pain (the big bones hurt like your sternum, thigh bones, pelvis and back). I slept most of Saturday, which I am sure if very good for me. By mid Sunday I was starting to feel more alert, watched the MotoGP race with Eddy and managed to eat the wonderful pasta dinner our neighbors, Bonnie and Jeff, brought over. You can not know how much we appreciate the meals! Thank you.

Three cheers for Eddy! Cooked, cleaned and took care of me like a champ this weekend. I know if Eddy wasn't putting food in front of me, I would not be eating. When nothing sounds good, it is extremely difficult to make yourself something to eat. I count my lucky stars for Eddy everyday!

I was very disappointed that we missed going to MotoGP at Laguna Seca this year because of chemo. We have seats in the Turn 3 Suites and love to be at the races for all of the action. It just wasn't the same watching it on the television.

Time to do a little bit of paperwork, some lunch with my friend Lauren and probably a nap on the deck.
